Understand the technology
RainMaker® solution is a mexican stimulation of rain that sprays millions of droplets of an agent nucleante patented, directly in the cloud, without the need of sublimarlas. Thanks to its technology of spraying in cold, it works in temperature ranges where traditional methods do not serve (-2 °C to 5 °C), which allows you to intervene more types of clouds extending the operating range of the technology. After more than 200 flights a successful, has been shown to increase the size and the lifetime of the droplets within the cloud, improving the efficiency of precipitation and bringing water to agricultural areas and basins sobreexigidas without generating negative environmental impacts.

The system RainMaker®
Our team of meteorologists
working 24/7, 365 days a year
They are the operational heart of each mission stimulation of rainfall. Continuously monitor the atmosphere through the analysis of satellite imagery, climate data and advanced numerical models. Identify in real time the development, movement and physical characteristics of the systems cloud in target regions. This constant monitoring allows you to anticipate conditions that are conducive to the aerial intervention.
The main objective of our team is to detect systems with the potential of precipitation, especially those in the development phase, and with sufficient moisture in the middle and bottom of the atmosphere.
The decision to make a flight of stimulation is taken by means of a scientific protocol that combines weather information in near real-time validation of the behavior of the systems cloud and risk-benefit analysis.

We assess the impact of each mission using two complementary approaches. When the operation zone account with new Doppler radars operating with access to the raw data, we apply the methodology TITANinternationally recognized by the World Meteorological Organization to compare cells treated versus non-treated and quantify the direct effect of cloud seeding. In regions where there is no such infrastructure, we use a method based on observation satellite, combining data IMERG-GPM and forecasts AIRS to measure the extent, intensity, and estimated volume of precipitation before and after the intervention. This dual approach allows us to maintain and objective assessments traceable, adapting to the technological capabilities available in each territory.

FAQ
Solve
your questions
1. Does cloud seeding is a contaminant or hazardous to humans or the environment?
No. The technology of stimulation of rain RainMaker® uses compounds harmless, specifically designed to integrate naturally in the water cycle, and does not alter the ecological balance. The AgI has an oral LD50 acute that classifies it as a harmless, we use organic compounds, and the applied amount is so small that it is undetectable. Decades of scientific studies in universities around the world conclude that their impact is negligible.
2. What if we stimulate the clouds in a place, take away the rain to another?
No. The atmosphere does not function as a closed container with a water-limited region. Precipitation depend on dynamic processes on a large scale, such as convection, moisture in the upper layers and the atmospheric circulation. In fact, only a fraction of the water vapor is available in a cloud ends up precipitating naturally; what makes RainMaker® is to increase that percentage, activating the potential of rain already present in a cloud, mature, without “stealing” water from other regions or significant disruption of natural flows.
3. Does cloud seeding can cause floods or natural disasters?
No. The stimulation of rainfall does not generate heavy rainfall from scratch, or controlled by extreme storms. The goal is to increase moderately the precipitation in systems that already have natural conditions for it to rain. Not involved hurricanes or severe storms, and operations are performed under strict monitoring weather to avoid unwanted effects.
4. Does this technology can be used to suppress the rain?
No. RainMaker® is not designed to inhibit the rain, but to promote the condensation, and precipitation in clouds with features conducive. Our mission is to increase the availability of water, not reduce it.
5. Does this technology has something to do with the so-called “chemtrails”?
No. The “chemtrails” are a conspiracy theory with no scientific basis. RainMaker® does not use toxic substances or acts in secret. All of our operations are open to the public, monitored and reported.
6. How do we know that rain was brought about by the stimulation and it would not have happened anyway?
Through physical analysis, statistical and observational. RainMaker® uses satellite imagery (IMERG, GOES), radar and climate models of control to compare events stimulated vs. not stimulated in similar conditions. In addition, we analyzed variables such as time of onset of rain, the intensity, duration and accumulated after planting. This comparison allows us to be attributed with high probability the effect of our interventions.
7. Can you make it rain though no forecast of rain?
Yes, it requires a cloud with insufficient content of Precipitable Water in order to succeed. The forecasts are based on mathematical models of prediction, we work with clouds real; so even if a model can predict “No rain,” the stimulation of rain RainMaker® can make it happen.
8. Can we move the clouds from one place to another?
No. The clouds are carried by the winds and the atmospheric currents at different levels. There are No current methods that allow to move them intentionally from one site to another. What can be done is to take advantage of your career for intervenirlas at the time and place optimal, increasing the likelihood that fall on a desired area.
9. Is it possible to “create” clouds from scratch?
No. The formation of clouds depends on natural atmospheric conditions such as humidity, temperature, and promotion of air. Some experiments have generated little clouds in laboratories or small areas, but there are no feasible methods to create systems cloud significant artificially.
10. What can you expect from a stimulation of rainfall?
Results moderate but valuable. In favorable conditions, it has been observed a increase of 10-20 % in the amount of rainfall, as well as more rainy early or of longer duration. The goal is not to create storms, but activate the latent potential from clouds that otherwise would dissipate without precipitate. This helps to recharge groundwater aquifers, to support crops and reduce water stress.
11. Does the stimulation of rainfall alters the natural cycle of rainfall?
No. The stimulation of rainfall does not create or destroy atmospheric moisture only improves the efficiency of precipitation in clouds that already contain the water vapor necessary. The natural cycle of rainfall remains intact; it simply makes better use of the existing potential in a certain time and place. In fact, in some regions affected by deforestation, RainMaker® seeks to contribute to restoring the cycle of rain, favoring the recovery environment and the availability of water.
